About the game

Dead City is a 3D survival game about lasting 50 days in a city full of monsters. If you last 50 days, a rescue helicopter comes to the rooftop. Until then, you search crates, upgrade your bat and craft guns to stay alive.

The screen shows the day count (Day 1...) and a day or night indicator at the top, a health bar and item slots at the bottom, and a small map on one side. Crates, shops, crafting benches and driving all work through prompts that appear when you get close. You can also open a bag and a larger map.

Weapons start with a pistol and go on to a shotgun, an assault rifle, a sniper rifle, an AK rifle and a rocket launcher. The baseball bat, your melee weapon, can be upgraded up to level 5 with emeralds. If you place a gun crafting bench on the ground you can use iron to craft guns and gear, and you can also use placeable items such as turrets, spike traps and mines.

On day 50 the game tells you the helicopter has arrived. You must head for the blue building on the map and escape from the rooftop stairs inside. The game has combat scenes with zombies and guns, so it may not suit young children.
