About the game

Night Zen is a 3D survival game where you mine blocks, craft tools and get through the nights on a small island. The core of the game is protecting the heart in the middle of the island: if zombies break it, you lose every item and start over from the beginning.

You start with a wooden pickaxe. Dig blocks and ore to gather materials, then get tools and gear at the emerald shop on the left and the crafting table in your room on the right. You gather resources by day, and zombies come out at night, so make sure you carry a sword.

The screen shows your health (hearts), water, hunger, experience level, armor and a tool bar at the bottom. When hunger drops you need to eat, and you can fill water at an oasis. You can also build a bed, a furnace and a wooden house, but if zombies break the house you cannot use the crafting table, furnace or bed until you tap the door spot and rebuild it.

The shop sells upgrades that shorten the time ore takes to come back (up to level 5) or raise the chance of double drops when you mine ore (up to level 3), and a wandering merchant sometimes sells things such as water bottles.
